REBECCA SEIPLE, PSYD | Postdoctoral Psychologist

Dr. Rebecca Seiple is a post-doctoral psychologist with experience in providing short-and long-term psychotherapy with children, young adults, and families. She has experience working with a wide range of presenting concerns including issues with self-worth, feelings of hopelessness, persistent worry, attention, emotion regulation, trauma, mood swings, self-harm and experiencing feelings of disconnection. She also has in-depth experience providing therapy for OCD, specific phobias, psychosis and autism-related challenges. 

Dr. Seiple is committed to creating a warm, safe space where genuine insight and new forms of self-expression can emerge. Within this supportive therapeutic relationship, you’ll have the opportunity to explore your identity and the ways you connect with others. Drawing on an understanding of early life experiences, she helps you make sense of the persistent patterns that may be shaping your present.

In session, Dr. Seiple gently guides you to attune to what is happening in the here and now, including your wishes, your fears, and the emotions that arise in real time. This process of self-discovery fosters a deeper sense of personal agency, empowering you to make meaningful choices and improve your relationships. You can expect thoughtful questions that expand your perspective, space to think creatively, and support in becoming more comfortable with a wide range of emotions. Over time, you’ll develop greater confidence in navigating your inner world and responding to life with clarity and intention.

Dr. Seiple is trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including DBT, CBT, mentalization-based therapy, and psychodynamic therapy with a focus on relational processes. She also has specialized expertise in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, CBT for psychosis, and relational therapy for autism. These modalities are thoughtfully integrated and applied as they become relevant and helpful to your unique therapeutic needs.

Dr. Seiple earned a MA and PsyD in psychology at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in the Bronx. Her dissertation focused on the role trauma plays in the development of borderline features. She also participated in research related to attachment styles, the psychotherapy process and psycholinguistics. She earned a BA in philosophy with a minor in physics from Colgate University. She is a visual artist, writer and performer.
